After a red-hot start to the 2025 campaign, Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston has cooled off considerably in recent weeks.
Johnston totaled at least 71 yards in each of his first four games and scored four touchdowns in that span, but over his last two games Johnston has tallied just six catches for 70 yards and one score.
Johnston is off to a quiet start in Week 8 against the Minnesota Vikings. Here's a closer look at what's going on.
Is Quentin Johnston playing tonight?
Yes, Johnston is active and playing, he just wasn't targeted on the Chargers' opening series. Instead, Justin Herbert connected with tight end Oronde Gadsden and wide receivers Keenan Allen and Ladd McConkey.
Gadsden's emergence this season adds yet another target for Herbert, which is good news for the Chargers' offense but bad news for Johnston's receiving production, as he's got another player to compete with for targets in an already crowded pass-catchers group.
We'll see if Johnston can get going on drive No. 2.
