Chauncey Billups, Terry Rozier set for Thursday release following FBI arrest

A massive FBI investigation has shaken up the entire NBA. Terry Rozier was arrested as part of an illegal sports gambling ring. The Miami Heat man was with the Charlotte Hornets during the time he was allegedly engaging in criminal activity. Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups was also arrested, albeit in relation to a mafia-linked poker scandal.

The two men have enjoyed successful careers in the NBA. They’ve made tens of millions of dollars, but that doesn’t seem to have stopped them from getting involved in all this. However, it also means that they can post the bond necessary to be released from arrest. And as per the latest reports, both Billups and Rozier are to be released on Thursday.

Illegal sports betting and being involved with the mafia are serious allegations. Even though the two prominent NBA personalities have been released, this will mark the end of their careers. How it pans out remains to be seen, but prison is a real possibility for both Billups and Rozier in the future.
