Cherries aim at giving Dyche tough start as Forest boss: Team news and preview

Bournemouth are unbeaten since 2015 against Forest, and they’ll be hoping to continue that run and their unbeaten streak in the league at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday.

The Daily Echo previews the visit of Dyche’s Forest.

**Team news**

Iraola will be without a trio of first team players in David Brooks, Evanilson and Enes Unal.

The former two have only ‘small’ injuries, but are unlikely to be fit for the weekend, while the latter took an important step this week in his recovery, playing the first half of a development squad game.

Julio Soler will be back available after being on international duty at the U20 World Cup, as the left back skippered Argentina to the final in Chile, although they were beaten by Morocco in the final.

For Forest, Dyche will be without just Ola Aina who is ruled out until the new year.

**Head-to-head**

Bournemouth have an excellent recent record against Forest.

The last time they were beaten by the Nottingham side was in February 2015 in the Championship, their unbeaten streak running to ten games.

Last season, Iraola’s Cherries drew 1-1 at the City Ground, before defeating the then-high-flying Forest 5-0 at Dean Court.

The game in Nottingham came on the opening day of the season, with Antoine Semenyo netting an 86th minute equaliser to earn a first point of the campaign for the Cherries.

The victory over Nuno Espirito Santo’s side at the Vitality Stadium in January was among Bournemouth’s best performances of the season.

Justin Kluivert handed them a ninth-minute lead, which they held into the break.

Then a second half hattrick from Dango Ouattara made it 4-0 with three minutes to play, before Semenyo scored in stoppage time to cap off a five-star performance in front of the Cherries faithful.

**Last time out**

The Cherries arrive back on the south coast fresh off a thrilling 3-3 draw at Crystal Palace.

Bournemouth led 2-0 at half time and retook the lead late on, after Palace had equalised at 2-2.

But the Eagles scored in stoppage time from the penalty spot and the Cherries took a point back to Dorset, but this was enough to see them move up to third in the league.

The draw also extended their unbeaten run in the top flight to seven games.

Forest, meanwhile, sit in the relegation zone having not won since the opening day of the season, when they beat Brentford.

They are on their third manager since that day. Espirito Santo was in charge on the opening day, before he was replaced by Ange Postecoglu.

The Australian did not taste victory while boss at the City Ground, and he was relieved of his duties after their 3-0 defeat at home against Chelsea last weekend.

He was in charge for just 39 games, and Dyche was appointed this week in his place, ahead of their game against Porto in the Europa League on Thursday night and the trip to the Cherries.

AFC Bournemouth host Nottingham Forest on Sunday, October 26, kick off at 2pm.
