The Bolts defense, meanwhile, allowed just three points in the opening half in an energized performance. After a few poor games, the unit flew around and harassed Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz.
All in all, the Chargers defense sacked Wentz five times Thursday night, with Justin Eboigbe leading the way with two of them. Khalil Mack, Tuli Tuipulotu and Odafe Oweh each also got to Wentz in primetime.
Minnesota scored late in the third quarter to cut the Chargers lead to 24-10, but the Bolts responded by putting together a 12-play, 73-yard touchdown drive to go up by 21 points.
