Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jordan Mailata isn't shying away from accountability after a rough stretch for the reigning Super Bowl champions.
After calling the team's Week 6 loss to the New York Giants "the worst game of my career," Mailata is eager for redemption as the Eagles prepare for a rematch.
Speaking to reporters this week, the 28-year-old lineman admitted that his showing at MetLife Stadium has stayed with him since.
"Yeah, I’m excited," Mailata said.
"I’m excited. Personally, I am.
"I just feel like I played the worst game of my career two weeks ago."
The towering Aussie's self-critique isn't misplaced.
In that game, he recorded a disappointing 57.9 grade per Pro Football Focus, as the Giants defensive line sacked Jalen Hurts three times.
Mailata and his Philadelphia teammates also struggled on the ground, with the whole rushing attack going for just 73 yards on the night.

The usually dominant left tackle was "very passive" that day, a mindset that he's determined to correct.
"Sometimes it’s like that. I can’t explain it," Mailata said.
"At the end of the day, it’s like, ‘Make sure that sh*t don’t happen again.'"
Now, with another meeting against New York just 17 days later, Mailata knows exactly what awaits.
The Giants' defensive line - featuring Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Abdul Carter, and Dexter Lawrence - remains the strength of their roster.
The Australian enforcer will get his chance at redemption as he tries to lead his side to their sixth win of the season.
