October 24- Barcelona’s commercial machine is undergoing a turbo-charged phase with new partners seemingly joining the club on a regular basis. This week, the Catalans have added another global partner to their ever-expanding portfolio, announcing a new deal with technology goliath, Uber, that runs through 2027.

The partnership was presented by first-team defender Pau Cubarsí alongside FC Barcelona General Director Manel del Río and Uber’s CEO for Spain and Portugal, Felipe Fernández Aramburu.

Under the agreement, Uber will establish dedicated pick-up and drop-off zones for matchdays and events while promoting its 100% electric vehicle service, in a nod to Barça’s public commitment to sustainability.

To celebrate the deal, both partners revealed a limited-edition fleet of 30 CUPRA Tavascan vehicles decorated in Barcelona’s iconic colors. Available only through Uber Electric, the cars combine the club’s drive for innovation with Uber’s tech-driven approach to urban mobility.

Advertising integration is also part of the package. Uber and Uber Eats will receive prime visibility at the new Spotify Camp Nou and will host promotional activations once the stadium reopens.

For Manel del Río, the deal underscores the club’s strategic direction saying: “This partnership with Uber strengthens our commitment to innovation and collaboration with leading brands in transport. It aims to improve fan mobility and traffic management around the new Spotify Camp Nou while promoting sustainable travel.”

No value or term was given for the two-year deal.

Felipe Fernández Aramburu added: “FC Barcelona doesn’t just arouse passion—it moves the city. With this agreement, we want to make the experience of going to the stadium even better through sustainable, electric mobility.”
