Andrea Radrizzani’s Leeds United v West Ham attendance blocked by 49ers after public announcement
Earlier in the month, former Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani spoke in an interview with the Daily Mail, in which he reflected on his time at the club.
Radrizzani’s tenure at Leeds ultimately ended on a really sour note. Relegation was followed by his attempts to use Elland Road as collateral to take over Sampdoria. However, Leeds’ current owners the 49ers were happy to see the Italian return to West Yorkshire as they invited him to this fixture against West Ham.
Now, though, Radrizzani’s decision to make his attendance public has upset the 49ers. The same outlet has revealed that his invitation has now been revoked.

Radrizzani was due to be in the director’s box after a personal invite from chairman Paraag Marathe. The report explains:
“It was officially withdrawn shortly after the interview went public – with Radrizzani informed that it was unnecessary for him to disclose details of his return and that it would be better for him to turn up at another time.”
The latest in a very long line of public comments made by Radrizzani that have backfired quite quickly for the Italian.
It’s clear that the club would have been happy to see him back this evening. But again, him speaking has made matters worse.
That was a common problem while he was owner, and it appears that he still hasn’t really learned from that issue.
