Tottenham and Newcastle want to sign same player – Transfer on cards, €30m+ needed

Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have Juventus’ Pierre Kalulu on their agenda.

That’s according to Tutto Juve, who cover Tottenham and Newcastle interest and Juve’s plans for the 25-year-old.

Kalulu joined the Serie A side initially on loan [€3.3m loan fee] from AC Milan in August 2024. The Turin club made his stay permanent earlier this year by exercising their €14m purchase option.

Igor Tudor has used him as a right wing-back and in the heart of defence this season, playing every minute in the league and Champions League. His displays haven’t gone unnoticed as both Tottenham and Newcastle are following the France international.

Tutto Juve’s title states English clubs ‘want a Juventus starter’. Within the report, it’s claimed several Premier League clubs have expressed interest. Spurs and Eddie Howe’s side are mentioned, indicating that these two clubs want to sign Kalulu.

He has a contract until 2029 and despite his positive performances, the report states the Old Lady are considering selling the defender. His sale can represent a significant capital gain, and the funds can help the Italian club restructure their squad.

Tutto Juve report Juventus are considering selling Kalulu next summer if there’s an offer over €30m. They also add a sale can’t be ruled out in January. The final decision on Kalulu’s future depends on Juve’s sporting strategy and the coach’s technical needs.

Tottenham and Newcastle want to sign Kalulu and whether they’ll make advances remains to be seen.
