Former Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has been out of contract since leaving Elland Road in the summer window, but could be set for a move to Coventry City in the Championship.
Daniel Farke was cutthroat in the summer when it came to shaping his squad for a Premier League survival bid at Elland Road.
Included in that was confirmation very early on that Patrick Bamford wouldn’t be part of his plans. The veteran striker was then released in August, in the final year of his contract.

Bamford has likely been taking his time to pick the next move in his career, linked with various clubs since Leeds’ promotion back to the top flight.

However, the Telegraph’s Mike McGrath reveals that the 32-year-old has now been seen at Frank Lampard’s Coventry City.
Lampard’s remarkable spell with the Sky Blues has hit another level this season. After heartbreak in the playoffs last season, Coventry sit top of the table and unbeaten after 11 games. They are currently five clear of third place with a staggering 31 goals scored already.

We all know that Bamford still has plenty to offer at Championship level. It’s no shock that he’s lined up for this sort of move.
Coventry look completely fine where goals are concerned, but depth up front may well need some more attention.
Given what unfolded between Leeds and Lampard during his year at Derby County, you’d love to be a fly on the wall as these two discuss what could be a transfer.
Of course, there’s the Chelsea connection here too after Bamford’s days as a promising youngster.
