5 prospects who the Eagles could target in the 2026 NFL draft

Eagles fans, it’s never too early to look ahead to the 2026 NFL draft.

Each week, we’ll take a look at five college prospects — ranging from first-round talents to late-round fliers — who the Eagles could reasonably target in the draft.

Here’s who we have an eye on during Week 9 of the college football season.

(All heights and weights are according to college bios.)

Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU, #4

Matchup: No. 3 Texas A&M at No. 20 LSU

How to watch: Saturday, 7:30 p.m., ABC

Measurables: 6-foot, 190 pounds

Thoughts: Delane might have played his way into being a top-15 pick and out of range for the Eagles. But he’s worth keeping an eye on, especially given the Birds’ needs opposite Quinyon Mitchell. The Virginia Tech transfer has shot up draft boards as one of the best CBs in the country. His 90.6 PFF coverage grade ranks second in the FBS among corners with at least 100 snaps. He has more pass breakups (seven) than he does receptions allowed (six on 23 targets). And he’s going to be tested by Texas A&M’s high-flying receivers.

Cashius Howell, EDGE, Texas A&M, #9

Matchup: No. 3 Texas A&M at No. 20 LSU

How to watch: Saturday, 7:30 p.m., ABC

Measurables: 6-foot-2, 248 pounds

Thoughts: We know edge rusher is an issue. The Eagles brought back Brandon Graham and should probably still make a trade to address the problem. But this is Graham’s last ride (right?), and if they trade for an edge rusher, it’s likely one who’s on an expiring contract. Insert Howell, whose 32 pressures and eight sacks rank first in the SEC among edge rushers. And in a deep edge rusher group, there’s a chance Howell will be available in the mid-20s.

Mikail Kamara, EDGE, Indiana, #6

Matchup: UCLA at No. 2 Indiana

How to watch: Saturday, noon, FOX

Measurables: 6-foot-1, 262 pounds

Thoughts: Again, it’s a deep edge rusher class. So the Eagles can afford to wait a little bit on the position. Kamara would be a nice option in the middle rounds. The All-Big Ten performer was one of the best edge rushers in the country last year (10 sacks) and returned for a fifth year to help Indiana push for a title, which is going well. Kamara is a plug-and-play rotational piece.

Kevin Coleman Jr., WR, Missouri, #3

Matchup: No. 15 Missouri at No. 10 Vanderbilt

How to watch: Saturday, 3:30 p.m., ESPN

Measurables: 5-foot-11, 180 pounds

Thoughts: Even if the Eagles don’t trade A.J. Brown this offseason, they could use a WR3 with Jahan Dotson’s contract up at the end of the season. Coleman, a projected middle round pick, is on his fourth school in as many years (Jackson State, Louisville, Mississippi State, Mizzou) but he’s found a home with the Tigers. He’s an exceptional route-runner who’s dynamic through traffic — and Mizzou will need him to step up in order to win at Vanderbilt this weekend.

Tanner Koziol, TE, Houston, #9

Matchup: Houston at No. 24 Arizona State

How to watch: Saturday, 8 p.m., ESPN2

Measurables: 6-foot-7, 250 pounds

Thoughts: Maybe the Eagles will use a high pick on Ohio State’s Max Klare or Vanderbilt’s Eli Stowers to replace Dallas Goedert. But Koziol could represent some value on Day Three. Last season, Koziol’s 94 receptions ranked third in the FBS among tight ends, behind only Harold Fannin Jr. and Tyler Warren. This year at Houston, Koziol has 36 catches for 350 yards. He’s the third-most targeted tight end in the FBS, and he has zero drops.
