Eagles' latest Week 8 injury report has fans begging for the bye week to arrive

The Philadelphia Eagles' second update to the injury report cannot get fans to the bye week quickly enough, given the overwhelming number of injuries plaguing this team.

On the second day of practice, four players remain without a single workout this week. That includes wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring), center Cam Jurgens (knee), cornerback Adoree' Jackson (concussion), and edge rusher Azeez Ojulari (hamstring).

There are four other players who were limited Eagles practice:

Grant Calcaterra, TE (Oblique)

Landon Dickerson, LG (Ankle/Back)

Moro Ojomo, DT (Shoulder)

Jeremiah Trotter Jr. (Ankle)

Three more players ended the report with being full participants in practice:

Jakorian Bennett, CB (Pectoral)

Dallas Goedert, TE (Calf)

Brandon Graham, DE (Not Injury Related)

Darius Cooper, WR (Shoulder)

What to make of the latest batch of injuries for the Eagles

There might be a strong possibility of Jurgens not playing, which puts the Eagles in a bind on the offensive line. Either Brett Toth or Drew Kendall could be options at center, and expect a lot more snaps under center so the team doesn't run the risk of bad snaps from shotgun.

Brown is starting to look like he won't play either, but the good news is that DeVonta Smith is heating up over the last three weeks, so he can step in as the number one receiver. It will fall on Jahan Dotson to play a bigger role in the offense.

Eagles fans might have a chance to see Bennett get some legitimate playing time over Jackson and Kelee Ringo for the first time this season. Everyone has seemed to have lost faith in Ringo, but Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio's "incomplete" assessment of Bennett might hold him back from starting at CB2 if Jackson is out.

Graham has another day where he is practicing fully, as it sounds like he is still working out his body, trying to get into football shape. With Fangio's comments on Ojulari not expected to play this week, Graham could get his first playing time of the season.
