It was an up-and-down week for the league’s top quarterbacks. While some of them excelled in important wins (Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott, and Daniel Jones), others struggled to keep their previous level of performance (Baker Mayfield, Justin Herbert, and Jayden Daniels). The question is, how does that affect their placement on these rankings?
Here are my top 15 quarterbacks in the NFL going into Week 8.

Before the Bills’ bye this week, Allen and the Bills’ offense had begun to struggle a bit – he turned the ball over in two straight Buffalo losses. However, Allen is still the reigning MVP, and we have every reason to believe he will bounce back against the Panthers this week.
2. Patrick Mahomes
I said last week that Mahomes needed to be sharper, and he answered the call against the Raiders, brutally dispatching the division rival at home. He tossed for 286 yards and three touchdowns in less than three quarters of action.
3. Baker Mayfield
Mayfield and the Buccaneers’ offense finally ran into a wall against Detroit, but he’s still been one of the league’s best passers this season. He’s also got a great opportunity to get right against the lowly Saints in Week 8.

4. Jalen Hurts

Despite another poorly called game from offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, Hurts played arguably the best game by any quarterback this season in Week 7. On the road against a ferocious Vikings defense, Hurts completed 19 of 23 passes for 326 yards and three touchdowns, becoming the first QB this season to post a perfect passer rating.
5. Matthew Stafford
The veteran continues to deal with top defenses. Despite the absence of Puka Nacua, Stafford decimated a talented Jags defense in London, throwing for five touchdowns in a blowout victory.

6. Dak Prescott
Few quarterbacks in the league have been as good as Prescott these past few weeks. Operating under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer’s offense, Dak has tossed for an incredible 13 touchdowns to zero interceptions in his last four games.
7. Jared Goff

It wasn’t a great outing for Goff in Week 7, who tossed an interception and took a backseat to running back Jahmyr Gibbs in the Lions’ home win over Tampa Bay. However, he did complete 20 of 29 passes and throw a touchdown.
8. Drake Maye
Is this guy for real? Maye has been an absolute godsend for the Patriots this season, throwing 12 touchdowns to 2 interceptions in leading New England to a 5-2 start.
9. Jordan Love
The Packers’ offense is still not firing on all cylinders, but Love is doing his best despite that fact. He’s led Green Bay to at least 27 points in three straight games, tossing five touchdowns to one interception in that span.
10. Sam Darnold

Against the Texans’ tough defense, Darnold finally put up a lackluster performance, completing just over half his passes and throwing an interception. However, he still passed for a touchdown and led the Seahawks to a key win.
11. Daniel Jones
Indiana Jones continues to lead the Colts to both wins and offensive glory. Jonathan Taylor may be the Colts’ engine, but Indianapolis is 6-1 under Jones’ leadership, and he’s completed an impressive 71% of his passes.
12. Justin Herbert
In the span of just a few weeks, Herbert has gone from an MVP candidate to a struggling passer trying to keep the Chargers afloat in the playoff race. He tossed two costly interceptions in a loss to the Colts in Week 7.
13. Jayden Daniels

Daniels struggled against the Cowboys in a blowout road loss and is currently awaiting MRI results after exiting the game with an injury. However, he’s still the centerpiece of the Commanders’ offense.
14. Bo Nix
It was a magical comeback for Nix and the Broncos against the Giants in Week 7. A 33-point fourth quarter, led by four total Nix touchdowns, helped Denver make an incredible comeback after being down 19-0.
15. Aaron Rodgers
The veteran might be 41 years old, but he’s getting the job done for a gritty Pittsburgh team. He may have thrown two interceptions in an upset loss to the Bengals, but he also threw for 249 yards and four touchdowns.
