Chelsea Told They May Have The New Neymar As Former Player Issues Glowing Verdict

**Former Chelsea star Joe Cole says he can see similarities between Estevao and Brazilian icon Neymar.**

Speaking after the teenager’s [**standout display against Ajax**](https://chelseanews.com/blog/chelsea-player-ratings-ajax/) on Wednesday night, Cole was full of praise for the winger:

“He’s brilliant, he’s such a good watch. Every time I watch him, I say it all the time: he gives me Neymar vibes.”

“He goes both ways, he’s got brilliant balance and from the first moment he pulled on a Chelsea shirt in a friendly here, he came on for 20 minutes and had the crowd on their feet two or three times. He’s one of those players you love watching.”

Estevao has adapted very quickly to English football

----------------------------------------------------

Everyone knew that the Blues had a massive talent on their hands even before the 18-year-old’s arrival at Stamford Bridge back in August.

Last season for Palmeiras, Estevao scored 12 goals and provided 5 assists in 37 appearances. That is some return for such a young player.

However, many still felt it would take him some time to get to grips with the Premier League and European football in general. Yet, based on his superb start, he seems to have taken to it like a duck to water.

The Chelsea star has even surprised himself

-------------------------------------------

The forward said in an interview last month that he wasn’t expecting to be featuring so regularly at the beginning of his time with the Blues:

“It’s happening very quickly, and I’m already getting a lot of opportunities there, more than I even expected at Chelsea.”

When you watch Estevao play, though, it is not a surprise that he has established himself so quickly. Considering how good he is already, it is frightening to think about what he could be capable of doing in a few years’ time.
