Seven games into his NFL career and New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo has already emerged as one of the must see players in the league.

His signature game out of the septet was in Week 6 when he carried the ball 19 times for 98 yards and scored three touchdowns as the Giants earned a 34-17 upset victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now, only two weeks later, the Giants head to Philly for a divisional rematch against the defending champions.

Last week, Skattebo found the end zone via the passing game for the first time in his budding NFL career, catching three passes for 34 yards out of the backfield.

The 23-year-old has two games this season where he has made six catches and his career high in receiving yards is the 61 that posted in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The California native also found the end zone on the ground against the Chiefs and scored his first career touchdown the week prior against the Dallas Cowboys.

Skattebo leads the league in yards from scrimmage by a rookie with 587 through the first seven games.

The Indianapolis Colts have been one of the surprises of the season, currently leading the AFC South with a 6-1 record, the best mark in the NFL.

The driving force of their early season success has been veteran running back Jonathan Taylor.

Taylor heads into Week 8 with 697 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns, he is the league leader in both categories.

When the 26-year-old has found the end zone this season, he has done considerable damage, posting three, three-touchdown games in the first seven contests.

His monster efforts have included a 16-carry, 94-yard three touchdown performance in his last outing against the Los Angeles Chargers, a 17-carry, 66-yard three touchdown game against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5 and a 17-carry 102-yard three score night vs. the Tennessee Titans in Week 3.

Finding pay dirt never gets old for Taylor, who has scored 61 touchdowns over his NFL career.

“Whenever you can score points, that just means you are one step closer to winning the game,” Taylor told the media on Thursday. “You’d rather have three touchdowns than 200 yards, both are contributing to the win, but the touchdowns? That’s points on the board.”

It will once again be the Titans in the crosshairs this week as the veteran back looks to continue his stellar season where he has averaged a league-best 99.6 yards per game rushing.

The Salem, New Jersey native is no stranger to the top of the rushing charts. In 2021 he led the league with 1,811 yards and 18 touchdowns and was named to the Associated Press’ NFL All-Pro First Team.
