What to Watch For | Jets vs Bengals Week 8

Higgins Approaching 5K Yards

Wide receiver Tee Higgins heads into Week 8 with 4,911 career receiving yards in 77 regular-season games played. Should he record 89 yards against New York in his 78th game, he would become the fifth-fastest player in team history to reach 5,000. The only Cincinnati players to hit that milestone in fewer games are Ja’Marr Chase (58 games), A.J. Green (63), Chad Johnson (70) and Cris Collinsworth (71).

Higgins is coming off his top statistical performance of the season in last Thursday night's home win over Pittsburgh. He caught six passes for a season-best 96 yards and a touchdown and put the Bengals in position for the game-winning field goal when he slid ahead of the goal line to let time run off late in the fourth quarter.

Higgins has a chance to become one of 32 active NFL players with 5,000 receiving yards in their career. In his previous two career games against the Jets, he has nine catches for 190 yards, a 95-yard average.
