Team news | Thomas on Kolo Muani’s improving fitness

Thomas Frank feels Randal Kolo Muani is ‘definitely getting closer’ to being in position, fitness-wise, to start matches.

The striker on loan from PSG has come off the bench in our last two matches against Villa - his Premier League debut - and in our midweek draw at AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League. His 21 minutes at Stade Louis II represented his longest shift yet after recovering from a dead leg.

Thomas was asked how close Randal was to starting when he spoke at his pre-match press conference at Hotspur Way on Friday, ahead of Sunday’s Premier League trip to Everton (4.30pm).

He replied:  “He's definitely getting closer. I think now it's the first time he had an okay sustained block of training and also some minutes. I think it's also fair to say that he's not there 100% physically to just be bombarding (him with) 90 minutes, go again and again and again, but he's in a place where he can be used, and that's good news.”
