Fabian Hurzeler on where Manchester United can hurt Brighton

Beating Brighton on Saturday evening would be huge for United and could see the Red Devils go as high as third, depending on other fixtures, which would put doubts over Amorim to bed.

The performance against Liverpool will give United so much confidence, and during his pre-match press conference, Hurzeler has admitted that he’s seen things which could hurt Brighton.

“I think they [United] play more directly and vertically, with more long balls to Mbeumo and Sesko, to try to win second balls and continue down the wings.

“They try to attack with deep runs and, of course, they have a lot of individual qualities. They can change the course of the game with one action. They are a danger for us and we have to stay alert for 90 minutes, because they can score in every phase of the game.”

United’s attack has been a real strength this season, and the goals are beginning to flow a lot more freely, which is a testament to Amorim.

Hurzeler shares his verdict on Ruben Amorim

While commenting on the United threats in this game, Hurzeler has also been talking about his direct opponent in the dugout, Ruben Amorim.

“I am really looking forward to competing against one of the best managers [in Europe]”, he explained.

Amorim was furious last time Brighton came to Old Trafford, with a 3-1 defeat coming after the Red Devils had played well enough to run away with it.

This time around, Amorim will want revenge and wants his team to continue the momentum that has been built, not letting it go to waste.

Amorim has been really impressive recently, and this has to continue over the weekend to secure another three points.
