Nico Gonzalez faces a late fitness test after picking up a knock in the midweek win against Villarreal. Rodri and Aleksandar Khusanov remain sidelined.

The Blues head to Villa Park in fine form, having been unbeaten in their last nine games, but manager Pep Guardiola has said that he's not getting carried away.

“I know the pundits and specialists and the former players know what will happen after five games. I’m not able to do that,” Guardiola said at Friday's press conference.

“The first two or three games we were out and now it looks like Liverpool is already done but I tell you they will be back.

“Always you wait 10-15 games to know exactly what’s going on.

“Obviously Liverpool and Arsenal will be there, someone else will be there and hopefully we can be there too.”

City lost their last away game at Villa Park 2-1, with Phil Foden netting for the Blues. Overall City have won 82 of the 183 games played against the Villains, with 42 draws and 59 defeats.

Predicted line-up: Donnarumma, Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, O'Reilly, Gonzalez, Silva, Foden, Savinho, Doku, Haaland

Score prediction: Villa 1 City 1
