West Ham United Women forward Manuela Paví has been included in the Colombia squad for their first-ever fixtures in the CONMEBOL Women’s Nations League, taking place during the October international break.

The newly launched competition serves as the South American qualification pathway for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. Colombia will compete in a group featuring the region’s nine other national teams: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

The top two sides will secure automatic World Cup qualification, while those finishing third and fourth will advance to a FIFA play-off tournament. Host nation Brazil qualify automatically.

Head coach Ángelo Marsiglia’s team will begin their campaign with a home clash against Peru on Saturday 25 October (midnight BST), before heading to Ecuador for their second match on Tuesday 28 October (11pm GMT).

Paví’s most recent international appearance came at the Copa América Femenina earlier this year, where she played a pivotal role in guiding Colombia to the final. After a thrilling 4–4 draw with Brazil over 120 minutes, Colombia were edged out in a penalty shootout, narrowly missing out on their first-ever continental title.

In the semi-finals, the West Ham attacker showcased her composure from the spot, scoring a crucial penalty to help her country defeat Argentina in another tense shootout.
