Bills Reportedly Looking To Address Key Offensive Concerns

The Buffalo Bills are preparing to address their wide receiver situation as the trade deadline nears.

Through six games, tight end Dalton Kincaid leads the team with 287 receiving yards, followed by Khalil Shakir at 268 and Keon Coleman with 237.

The numbers highlight a clear need for additional pass-catching options in Buffalo’s offense.

General manager Brandon Beane has a track record of making midseason moves to strengthen his roster.

According to CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones, Beane may target another receiver before the deadline closes.

“An interesting team to watch is Buffalo. The Bills have been up and down the last few weeks, but GM Brandon Beane has made deals in each of the past two offseasons. He sent out for Rasul Douglas in 2023 and got Amari Cooper last fall. Some believe he could go after a receiver again,” Jones wrote.

Cooper’s tenure with Buffalo never materialized as hoped.

Injuries limited his availability, and he played sparingly during the team’s playoff run to the AFC Championship.

He left for the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency before retiring ahead of the 2025 season.

Buffalo has since relied on Kincaid alongside Joshua Palmer, Shakir, and Coleman through the opening stretch.

The Bills are coming off a two-game losing streak, including a Week 6 defeat to the Falcons, where Josh Allen managed just 180 passing yards.

Tyler Lockett, recently released by the Titans, represents an intriguing option for Buffalo.

He has multiple 1,000-yard seasons on his resume and fits the dynamic passing attack Sean McDermott’s offense employs.

Adding a proven target could provide the spark Buffalo needs to regain momentum.
