The Pittsburgh Steelers appear to have struck gold with their team-friendly one-year deal with four-time MVP-winning quarterbackAaron Rodgers. Rodgers has the Steelers offense firing on all cylinders, and Pittsburgh is 4-2 entering Week 8, good for first place in the AFC North.
However, Pittsburgh is not above putting even its star players in positions that most organizations would never consider. According to one prominent team insider, the Steelers have even had Rodgers help out with the scout team, something virtually unheard of for a player of his caliber.
“Juan Thornhill confirmed today that the #Steelers have been using Aaron Rodgers to help on scout team this week to prepare for the (Green Bay) Packers,” [reported Christopher Carter on Thursday.](https://x.com/CarterCritiques/status/1981440421873020985)
Fans reacted to the shocking news on social media.
“My goodness…is there anything Rodgers won’t do to help the Steelers? I am very impressed with his teamwork and admit I was 100% wrong about him,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Can he also sit in with the defense to show them how to properly cover a zone? Teryl Austin seems to not do that and blame it on the players, and to continuously call zone,” another fan added.
“Wow. That’s leadership of the highest order from Rodgers. Defense better get their head out of their rectum,” someone else added.
“But I thought Rogers was horrible teammate and cancer. He has been complete opposite of what everyone painted him,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Rodgers going the extra mile pays dividends on Sunday night against Green Bay.
