Norman Hunter is an iconic figure at Leeds.
The Englishman made 726 appearances in total during his time at Elland Road – which lasted from 1962 up until 1976 – while also winning an incredible amount of silverware with Leeds.

Norman Hunter is also the holder of some records in Yorkshire – although Joe Rodon is hunting one down.

Rodon recently surpassed Mateusz Klich when starting his 93rd consecutive league match, and thanks to his exceptional fitness record – along with admirable discipline – he could well go on to knock Hunter from his perch.
No centre-back in the history of Leeds has made more consecutive league starts than Hunter, who amassed 113 in a row between September 1962 and April 1965.
Even if Rodon – who Daniel Farke praised for his aerial ability – fails to hit that number, he still impressively stands alone in rare territory as the only player to start 94 consecutive league games in the 21st century for Leeds so far.

MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES
The duo have helped Leeds keep two clean sheets in eight games so far, but a hint has emerged on Instagram which suggests Jaka Bijol could potentially be named in the starting XI against West Ham.
The Slovenia international posted a matchday graphic on Instagram earlier on Friday – which is typical for those who are set to start.
It can be hard to keep track of these uploads – as they are temporary posts which expire – but some fans online are claiming that Bijol had not posted one for the last two games, which offers a hint that he could potentially be about to make his Premier League debut.
