3-4-3: Man Utd predicted XI vs Brighton, Amorim makes three changes

Manchester United are going for three wins in a row this weekend when Brighton arrives at Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim has already achieved new heights at Manchester United over the past week. Beating Liverpool saw United win back-to-back games for the first time under the Portuguese head coach.

Now, this weekend, Amorim has another task at hand. United haven’t beaten Brighton at Old Trafford since 2022, and this run needs to end on Saturday.

It won’t be easy, as Brighton are a top side, and Carlos Baleba will be looking to impress United on what he might view as an audition.

For the game, Amorim has big calls to make for the game, namely at centre-back, left-wing-back, and also in terms of the attacking trio.

How Manchester United could line-up to face Brighton

Against another top opponent, United will have to be at full strength for this one, and Amorim has a very good selection to pick from.

That being said, Amorim has expressed concern over Mason Mount and Harry Maguire, with both being a doubt.

So with this in mind, here is our predicted line-up.

Senne Lammens

In goal, there is now no doubt that Lammens is number one, after an impressive performance at Anfield, which saw him continue his dominance.

With a best in league save percentage of 89 per cent, Lammens is going to be a world beater for United.

Leny Yoro

With Harry Maguire being so impressive against Liverpool, it would be easy to start him against Brighton; however, we are expecting Yoro with Maguire a doubt.

The Frenchman would give United more pace at the back, which could be a vital quality against Brighton’s dynamic attack. It is also important to keep Yoro’s development going with regular starts.

Matthijs de Ligt

This season, De Ligt has been like a new player for United, really raising his game to a world-class level.

De Ligt has dominated the Premier League, and he is likely one of the first names on the teamsheet for United.

Luke Shaw

Shaw is on course for his best season in years, purely from staying fit, and he starts this one as well.

Lisandro Martinez will be back soon, but he’ll have to unseat Shaw because the English international is currently firmly a starter.

Amad

On the right, Amad seems like he has nailed down the right-wing-back position this season, and we expect him to start this one.

Amad was excellent against Liverpool, providing an assist and being a consistent threat down the right.

Casemiro

In central midfield, Casemiro is pretty irreplaceable right now, with Manuel Ugarte not showing enough.

Rio Ferdinand praised Casemiro for his Liverpool performance, in which he dominated the midfield battle.

Bruno Fernandes

Not at his best against Liverpool, yet Fernandes still pulled off one magic moment to assist the match-winner.

Fernandes will probably be rested at some stage once we enter the festive period, but he is sure to start here.

Patrick Dorgu

Left-wing-back is Amorim’s biggest weakness right now, and after Diogo Dalot was poor against Liverpool, it should be Dorgu who starts.

Neither are ideal, but Dorgu has had an impressive season, which has gone under the radar due to his disappointing attacking play.

Bryan Mbeumo

Wayne Rooney has labelled Mbeumo United’s MVP this season, and the Cameroonian is undroppable as a result.

Three goals and one assist this season, and we fully expect more numbers over the next few weeks.

Matheus Cunha

Despite not scoring, Cunha was among United’s best players against Liverpool, offering so much leading the line. However, Mount’s potential injury sees him drop into the 10 here.

Tipped to become unplayable, Cunha could be set for his biggest performance for United this weekend against Brighton.

Benjamin Sesko

Not among the top performers against Liverpool, however, Sesko came off the bench and showcased some excellent link-up play.

He is really growing into the United shirt.
