Warriors star Jimmy Butler hilariously thanks Stephen Curry in birthday message to daughter

Jimmy Butler has scored 52 points in two games in the Golden State Warriors’ 2-0 start to the 2025-26 NBA season. His game is working well with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, and the team looks quite dangerous. And it’s not just on the court that Jimmy’s being appreciated; he seems to be meshing well with the group off the court as well.

Butler has had a well-publicized bromance with Buddy Hield, with the two constantly needling one another. He’s on great terms with Draymond, too; they both possess the same competitive fire. His bond with Curry seems to be getting even deeper as well. And he hilariously used his daughter’s birthday to compliment the greatest shooter ever.

“Happy Birthday, Rylee, six years old,” Butler said into the camera after their win against the Nuggets. “Thank Steph, for getting it done on your birthday. My daughter turns six today, and we got a dub back-to-back… Two and 0.”

Curry was surreal in a comeback win against the Nuggets, with most of his points coming in the second half. Steph’s absurd three-point shot is also what forced OT, so it’s safe to say he is to be thanked for the Warriors’ win. With the way Jimmy’s been settling in, too, Curry can likely collect his thanks at Rylee’s birthday party.
