Although he was just the third running back taken off the board in this past April's NFL Draft, Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins (No. 36 overall) has been the most impressive among the Las Vegas Raiders' Ashton Jeanty (No. 6 overall), Los Angeles Chargers' Omarion Hampton (No. 22 overall), and himself.
Judkins is coming off an 84-yard, three-touchdown performance in their blowout win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 7.
However, the new top dog running back will be faced with a tough task as they take on MVP hopeful Drake Maye and the New England Patriots in Week 8.
Quinshon Judkins looks to end Patriots' franchise record on Sunday
Heading into Week 8, the Browns are coming off their second win of the 2025 regular season and will look to put an end to the Patriots' four-game winning streak.
It will be a tough task for Quinshon Judkins, who leads rookies so far this season in rushing yards (467) and rushing touchdowns (5). New England hasn't given a 50-plus rushing yard game to an individual rusher in a franchise record seven straight games, according to Ashley Bastock of cleveland.com.
Judkins has topped 50 rushing yards in all but one of his first six career games. If the Browns can keep pace with the Patriots, who have averaged 30.3 points per game during their winning streak, Judkins should have plenty of opportunity to carry the ball and challenge New England's dominant rush defense.
