The Eagles are in serious trouble for this Sunday’s game against the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field.
Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring), center Cam Jurgens (knee), edge rusher Azeez Ojulari (hamstring) and cornerback Adoree’ Jackson (concussion) have been ruled out with injuries.
Philadelphia’s offense could struggle without Brown and Jurgens.
Next to DeVonta Smith, the Eagles will hope slot wideout Jahan Dotson and backup WR John Metchie can make up for Brown’s production, but that is a tall task.
In the Eagles’ Week 7 win over the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday, Brown snagged four receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns. He has finished with 29 total catches for 395 yards and three touchdowns through seven weeks.
Veteran backup center Brett Toth is a major downgrade from Jurgens and could make things worse for a struggling offensive line.
Wide receiver Darius Cooper, cornerback Jakorian Bennett and defensive end Brandon Graham were listed as questionable on the injury report.
Cooper and Bennett had their practice windows opened this week, but they still haven’t been added to the 53-man roster. Graham has a two-game roster exemption and could be brought up at any time during that period.
Bennett or third-year cornerback Kelee Ringo will replace Jackson at cornerback.
