Leeds United secured a vital three points with a 2-1 victory over West Ham at Elland Road. First-half goals from Brenden Aaronson and Joe Rodon were enough to seal a much-needed win as the Whites put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone.

Here's how our Leeds United reporter Isaac Johnson scored the players...

Lucas Perri - Had to cleverly improve with a punch after dropping an acrobatic effort from Jarrod Bowen. Still a touch of easiness about him but didn't do much wrong. 7

Jayden Bogle - Delivered one of his typical bending crosses that led to the opener. Intercepted many balls that led to attacks. 8

Joe Rodon - Rose like a salmon to nod home another Sean Longstaff cross. Won his duels. 8

Jaka Bijol - Showed his aerial credentials more than a few times. Used is muscle too, sometimes too heartily. Could not tell it was his first Premier League game. 7

Gabriel Gudmundsson - Was a menace up the left before exiting early, before half time, with a back issue. 7

Ao Tanaka - A touch rusty but generally, pretty sturdy. 6

Ethan Ampadu - Silky, aside from his wayward effort when driving up the pitch in the first half. 7

Sean Longstaff - Super corner for Rodon's header. Played forward often before staying more cautious as the game grew on. 7

Brenden Aaronson - Got his first goal since March. Should have been more confident with a cut-back effort later in the first half but that was his only blips. Forward play, driving runs and a deflected effort onto the bar. 8

Dominic Calvert-Lewin - Ran (and ran) the channels and closed down diligently. 7

Noah Okafor - His header led to the opener and fired just wide before half time. Was replaced at the break. 7

SUBS

James Justin (44' for Gudmundsson) - Did decently, though needs to work on his weaker left foot. 7

Ilia Gruev (71' for Tanaka) - Got a yellow for tugging back Lucas Paqueta but did his job by making the midfield more rigid. 6

Daniel James (86' for Aaronson) - Too late for a rating. N/A

Jack Harrison (46' for Okafor) - Pressed well and fired in a sharp effort. 6

Lukas Nmecha (87' for Calvert-Lewin) - Too late for a rating. N/A
