The Buffalo Bills are facing yet another wave of uncertainty after their bye week, as the organization looks to potentially trade for a star wide receiver.
Heading into their bye week, the Bills were without star tight end Dalton Kincaid, who missed Buffalo's Week 6 loss to the Atlanta Falcons with an oblique injury. After having roughly two weeks to recover, there is still uncertainty surrounding the star's availability for the upcoming contest against the Carolina Panthers.

It was revealed on Friday that Kincaid is still questionable with the oblique issue. The news comes after reports of waves of AI-generated posts featuring Josh Allen, Sean McDermott, and other Bills players that have taken social media by storm in recent weeks.

Along with Kincaid, Terrel Bernard, Maxwell Hairston, and Matt Milano were also considered questionable, according to the Bills. Meanwhile, DaQuan Jones, Josh Palmer, and Taylor Rapp were all ruled out for the game against the Panthers.
After starting the season 4-0, Buffalo dropped its last two games heading into the bye week, leading reporters to question where the team's headspace is as they return to action to tackle the second half of the season. "Yeah, resilient. Very resilient," McDermott, the head coach, told reporters Friday.
"Practices have been, you guys have seen at least, what we've done from Monday, full pads, to Wednesday, full pads again. You're allowed to do that once, I believe it's one time in the first X amount of weeks here. So, we took advantage of that and the players, they worked and worked on the key fundamentals that you need to play well."

Earlier in the week, McDermott also spoke on how the team is continuing to build an identity, especially as the Bills continue their quest for a Super Bowl and the fact that Buffalo was considered one of the teams to beat this season. McDermott also hinted that the lack of continuity played a part in any difficulties.
"I know it's establishing who we are as a team, and that continues to unfold week after week," the head coach admitted. "I don't really know that we're there yet, and that's OK. But we've got to keep pushing.
"We've got to stay urgent with our approach, the discipline, the detail that I mentioned earlier. It's really establishing who we're trying to become as a football team. You just take it one week at a time.

"Guys have been in and out of the lineup, too, which affects some of that. Having said that, it's, again, taking steps every week to grow as a football team."

With the bye week over and done and the season restarting again for Buffalo, McDermott shared how he attempted to get a better understanding of his team moving forward after having a talk with his wife. "I mean, she used to be a teacher, so she's like, 'When my classroom wasn't set, you feel that kind of uneasy feeling. So you guys feel the same way,'" he continued.
"When you don't feel great about things, with great clarity, total clarity, I need to go in there and watch some film and just be by myself and just with my thoughts, you know.
"So it's powerful, right? And you come out of it with better clarity on where we're at and where we need to go."
