AEW Dynamite saw a decrease in viewership on October 22 when the show went head-to-head with NBA live coverage.
According to Wrestlenomics, 477,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.08 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode, when 534,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.11 rating in the same demographic.
Viewership for Wednesday’s show on MAX is unknown at this time.
What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?
This week’s show kicked off with The Opps defeating The Hurt Syndicate to retain the AEW World Trios Titles thanks to an assist from Ricochet.
Kyle O’Reilly defeated Jon Moxley via disqualification.
In women’s action, Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata won a four-way women’s tag team match to choose their first round opponents in the upcoming tournament.
In the main event of the evening, Kazuchika Okada defeated Bandido to retain the AEW Unified Championship.

AEW Dynamite Review:
Wow! I really enjoyed tonight’s episode of Dynamite. Typically, these post-PPV episodes aren’t particularly strong as the company slowly begins to set the table for their next pay-per-view, but tonight didn’t feel like that at all. We got a lot of really good matches with some very surprising results to boot.
Not to mention a lot of great segments to already begin the build to Full Gear next month, as well as the women’s tag team title tournament. They capped the show off with a phenomenal main event. I think this was one of the strongest post-show episodes of Dynamite in the history of AEW. More of this, please!
