All eyes will be on Aaron Rodgers on Sunday night, as the Steelers’ quarterback aims for his revenge against his former team, in a litmus test game for Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers.
Both the Steelers and Green Bay enter Sunday night atop their respective divisions, but defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley has a game-wrecking weapon at his disposal, who just might swing the outcome of the game.
Micah Parsons could be Packers’ key to beating Aaron Rodgers, Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (8) throws a pass in the first quarter of the NFL game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati on Oct. 16, 2025.
Parsons has become a force multiplier for Hafley’s defense, and almost singlehandedly was the driving force behind the Packers surviving against the Arizona Cardinals last week.
Ahead of Sunday night against the Steelers, Pro Football Focus reveals that Parsons’ relentless pressure on Rodgers could ultimately decide the outcome, for a second consecutive game.
“Rodgers has struggled against pressure in 2025,” Thomas Valentine points out, for PFF. “His 43.3 overall PFF grade when pressured is 28th among quarterbacks. The Packers will be looking for ways to flush the pocket and consistently pressure Rodgers.”
Through his first six games in a Packers uniform, Parsons has posted 5.5 sacks, and seems to be improving each week.
Parsons enters Sunday’s contest with 37 quarterback pressures, and continuing to wreak havoc in the backfield on Rodgers could be critical to the Packers extending their unbeaten streak to four consecutive games.
