Packers make final Josh Jacobs decision for Sunday vs. Steelers

The Packers‘ offense is going to be as close to full-strength as it has been in weeks.

While wide receiver Jayden Reed is still working his way back from a broken collarbone, Christian Watson is expected to make his 2025 debut, but he won’t be the only one of quarterback Jordan Love’s veteran weapons who will be on the field Sunday night against the Steelers.

Running back Josh Jacobs has been a driving force behind Green Bay closing out victories the past two weeks over the Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals, but had been dealing with an injury throughout this week.

Friday, though, Green Bay removed Jacobs from the injury report, and he is expected to get the start against the Steelers.

Jacobs, 27, had been limited throughout the week by a calf injury but is obviously healthy enough to play on Sunday night, and won’t have any injury designation.

Through the first six games of the season, Jacobs has rushed for 414 yards with eight touchdowns, and has become the Packers offense’s closer late in games, a role he hopes to reprise on Sunday night at Acrisure Stadium.
