Newcastle United go head-to-head with Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday as both sides look to put an end to their disappointing runs.
Eddie Howe's men have won just once in their previous four games in the Premier League, while Fulham are on a run of three losses on the bounce. Newcastle have been strong defensively this season, with no side keeping more clean sheets, but they've struggled to produce in the final third so far.
GIVEMESPORT have taken a look at the team news from both sides and how they could line up this weekend.
Newcastle Team News
Sandro Tonali
Sandro Tonali missed Newcastle's midweek Champions League fixture due to illness, so he's a doubt for the game against Fulham. Yoane Wissa and Tino Livramento are continuing their recoveries from injuries, while Lewis Hall is also on the treatment table.
Joelinton featured as a second half substitute against Benfica in the Champions League, so he will be pushing for a start.
Eddie Howe Shares Newcastle Injury Update
Speaking to the media ahead of the game against Fulham, Howe provided a fitness update on his players...
"Everybody has come through OK. We are still monitoring Sandro. He did train on Wednesday but wasn't 100% so he is touch and go for the game."
Newcastle Predicted XI
joelinton
Newcastle Predicted XI: Pope; Trippier, Thiaw, Botman, Burn; Miley, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Barnes, Woltemade, Gordon
Newcastle Predicted Substitutes: Ramsdale (GK), Schar (DEF), Krafth (DEF), Ramsey (MID), Tonali (MID), Willock (MID), Elanga (FWD), Murphy (FWD), Osula (FWD).
Tonali is unlikely to start considering his illness, but he could be fit enough for the bench. After coming on against Benfica, we could see Joelinton coming into the starting XI. Anthony Elanga has struggled of late, and with Harvey Barnes coming off the bench to score twice, he's surely earned himself a place in the side.
Tonali, Elanga, and Ramsdale, who earn a combined £370,000-a-week at St James' Park, could form a strong bench for the Magpies.
Fulham Team News
Joachim Andersen
Joachim Andersen has been ruled out of the trip to Newcastle this weekend, and he joins a host of players on the treatment table. Antonee Robinson, Rodrigo Muniz, and Samuel Chukwueze will also miss out for the away side.
Harry Wilson is touch and go after missing training this week, but Sasa Lukic is fit and available after missing the previous game.
Fulham Predicted XI
Adama Traore
Adama Traore
Fulham Predicted XI: Leno; Castagne, Cuenca, Bassey, Sessegnon; Berge, Lukic; Traore, King, Iwobi; Jimenez
Fulham Predicted Subs: Lecomte (GK), Tete (DEF), Diop (DEF), Cairney (MID), Reed (MID), Smith Rowe (MID), Wilson (MID), Kevin (FWD), Kusi-Asare (FWD).
With Wilson picking up a knock, he might only feature from the bench, meaning Adama Traore could be in line for a starting on the right-hand side of attack. Lukic and Sander Berge should line up in midfield, while Calvin Bassey is likely to come in and replace Andersen.
