£400,000-a-week duo benched as Sesko decision made - Man Utd vs Brighton predicted XI's [view]

Manchester United host Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday evening as the Red Devils hope to secure a third-successive victory under Ruben Amorim for the first time. Their latest win over North West rivals Liverpool was the first time they'd secured back-to-back wins under Amorim, and it's a real chance for them to use the momentum to push on for the remainder of the campaign.

The Seagulls will certainly be no pushovers, though, and are unbeaten in their last four games in the Premier League. The last meeting between the two sides saw Brighton secure a 3-1 victory away at Old Trafford, and they'll be hoping for more of the same this weekend.

GIVEMESPORT has taken a look at how the two teams could line up...

Man Utd Team News

lisandro martinez

Manchester United don't have too many injury concerns at the moment, with Lisandro Martinez the only player who was missing from their game against Liverpool due to a fitness problem. It's unclear whether he will be fit enough to return to action this weekend.

Amorim has some decisions to make all over the pitch after he dropped Leny Yoro and Benjamin Sesko for the Liverpool clash, while Amad Diallo was also used as a wing-back, with Patrick Dorgu on the bench.

Ruben Amorim Team News Update for Man Utd

Speaking to the media ahead of United's game against Brighton, Amorim has provided an update on team news...

"Squad is fine we have some doubts some issues during the week with Maguire and Mount. Knocks but nothing serious we shall see tomorrow. Licha is out but the rest are ready for the game."

Man Utd Predicted XI

benjamin sesko

Man Utd Predicted XI: Lammens; Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw; Dalot, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dorgu; Mbeumo, Cunha; Sesko.

Man Utd Predicted Substitutes: Bayindir (GK), Maguire (DEF), Mazraoui (DEF), Heaven (DEF), Mainoo (MID), Mount (MID), Ugarte (MID), Amad (FWD), Zirkzee (FWD).

We could see Amorim rotate his side a little for this one to keep things fresh, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see Sesko come back into the starting XI. The likes of Harry Maguire and Mason Mount, who earn £400,000-a-week combined at Old Trafford, could drop out of the starting XI, as Amorim goes for a different setup to the one that beat Liverpool.

Maguire and Mount might only be fit enough for the bench after their recent injury troubles.

Brighton Team News

Kaoru Mitoma in action for Brighton

Fabian Hurzeler has been without a host of players of late, with Solly March, Adam Webster, Jack Hinshelwood, Kaoru Mitoma, Joel Veltman, and Brajan Gruda all on the treatment table.

Mitoma, Veltman, and Gruda are more likely to return this weekend than the others, but it could be a race against time for them to be passed fit for the trip to Old Trafford. Diego Gomez was also substituted last time out and there have been concerns over a potential injury.

Hurzeler Provides Brighton Team News Update

Speaking to the media ahead of Brighton's game againt United, Hurzeler provided a big update on injuries...

"They are all close to the team [Mitoma, Veltman, and Gruda]. So maybe one or two of them might be available tomorrow, so we really have to go training for training. Because they don't have big issues, it is only like small issues to have. Nothing serious, so we have to go symptom adapted. I can't say that they all will be available, I can't say that they won't be available. So we have to see really today how it is going and then make a decision. Yeah, I think he will also be spotted tomorrow at Old Trafford [Gomez]. He will be able to start."

Brighton Predicted XI

Brighton & Hove Albion striker Danny Welbeck

Brighton Predicted XI: Verbruggen; Wieffer, Dunk, Van Hecke, Kadioglu; Baleba, Ayari; Minteh, Rutter, Gomez; Welbeck

Brighton Predicted Substitutes: Steele (GK), Veltman (DEF), De Cuyper (DEF), Boscagli (DEF), Coppola (DEF), Milner (MID), Mitoma (MID), Kostoulas (FWD), Tzimas (FWD).

Former Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck could be involved for the away side, coming up against his former club. Given Hurzeler's comments, Gomez could retain his place in the starting XI, while we could see the likes of Mitoma and Veltman return to the bench.
