James Garner is thriving at Everton this season and playing at the Hill Dickinson Stadium is proving a real positive for the midfielder.
Everton return to their home on the docks this weekend when they welcome Tottenham Hotspur from the capital.
The Hill Dickinson Stadium is turning into a fortress for the Blues as they look to maintain their unbeaten record on Sunday.
David Moyes has been so impressed by Garner this season who has been forced to play out of position at times.
James Tarkowski wasn’t convinced about the new stadium at first, but he is now loving the state-of-the-art new home.
Garner has been left so impressed with the new stadium and thinks there’s something that separates it even from the likes of Old Trafford.

In discussion with FourFourTwo, Garner has admitted the fans are what make the new stadium as good as the likes of Old Trafford.
“When you go to big stadiums like Old Trafford, you’re like, ‘wow, this is really iconic’. Or you go to new ones like Tottenham’s and feel ‘this is it now, this is a modern stadium, this is how it should be’,” said the midfielder.
“We’ve got that now. We’ve got the modern feel, it’s so big, you stand outside and you’re right on the (water) front.
🔵 “It really is the 'People's Club'. That's what sets Everton Football Club apart from the others. The fanbase is really local and very passionate.

“It’s just the positioning of the stadium and how it’s built, and especially when the fans are in there, it’s amazing. The fans are extraordinary, aren’t they? They are the 12th man. We’ve not been beaten at home this season and that’s a good reason why.”
Moyes has noticed the fans’ expectations rise in recent weeks following the impressive start to the season on home soil.
Coming up against a Champions League outfit in Spurs, the players will be hoping the fans can bring a special atmosphere on Sunday afternoon.
James Garner tight-lipped over new Everton contract talks
Everton News understands that Everton are looking to secure Garner to a new contract before the summer.
However, the 24-year-old did not want to let anything slip in conversation with FourFourTwo.
All I know at the moment [is] nothing’s going [on]. There’s been no talks. I know, obviously, my contract’s up in the summer but from my side, I’ve heard nothing,” he admitted.
Everton News columnist Alan Myers wants to see Garner rewarded with a new contract in the coming months.
The club will be keen to avoid any potential headaches with contracts over the summer after numerous players left earlier this year as free agents.
This appears to be the case with the likes of Tarkowski already tied down to a new deal.
