Liverpool striker Alexander Isak could be available against Brentford in their next game on Saturday night.
The Reds managed to recapture some of their form with a win in midweek after four straight losses before that. They beat Frankfurt 5-1, and now go into a game against Brentford at the weekend, hoping to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.
If they do win, they will be able to put Arsenal under some pressure, with the Gunners playing against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
In their game against Frankfurt, Alexander Isak had to be taken off with a groin injury, leading many to believe that he wouldn’t feature against Brentford; however, Arne Slot has said there is a chance he could play.
He said on Friday afternoon: “Alex (Isak) is not too bad. He is a question mark for the weekend – let’s see where he is.” – He is currently being assessed ahead of the game.
Expected return date – Saturday 25 October vs Brentford (A)
Ryan Gravenberch
Gravenberch is also a doubt for Saturday, as he suffered an ankle injury against Frankfurt, leading Slot to have to provide a similar update on him. He indicated that the Dutchman is also being assessed, and could be fit enough to play against Brentford.
If Gravenberch does miss the game, it could give someone like Curtis Jones the chance to stamp his mark for Liverpool, and potentially get back into Slot’s starting XI.
