Bournemouth star speaks about transfer chances – Fancies European football

Marcos Senesi has been a regular at AFC Bournemouth since joining them from Feyenoord in August 2022, playing 98 matches so far.

The Argentina international has less than a year left on his contract and it’s unclear where his future lies beyond this season.

TyC Sports cover the Bournemouth player’s comments about his future plans. The centre-back graduated from San Lorenzo’s academy and spent three years with their first team.

Sensei left the Argentine club to join Feyenoord in 2019. A year ago, he said returning to San Lorenzo at some stage of his career is a priority for him.

Fast forward to October 2025 and the 28-year-old is again asked about the possibility of joining his former club. He has now closed the transfer door, at least for the next year, as he plans to continue in Europe.

“I have one year left on my contract. I’d like to play in European tournaments again, but right now I’m focused on finishing the season well,” he said.

“Returning to Argentina isn’t in my plans right now, but you never know in the future. It hurts me to see how San Lorenzo is doing. I hope they can get back on track soon.”

The defender has started all eight Premier League matches for Andoni Iraola’s side this season. The Cherries have enjoyed a good start to the season and are now fourth in the table, a point behind second placed Manchester City and four behind leaders Arsenal.

On his current situation at Bournemouth, Senesi explained: “It gave me a lot physically; it’s a very demanding league. You’ll pay for any mistake. You have to be at 100% or you’ll have a bad time. It’s going to be a very even Premier League season; all the teams are strong.”
