Tottenham, who are considering their options in central defence heading into 2026, are one of those who like the look of Konsa, as are Man City.

City are looking at options in defence, both central and at full-back, and we are told the fact that Konsa can play right-back adds an extra element of appeal to the Cityzens.

We can also confirm Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have watched him at various points in the last 12 months.

There is some interest abroad as well, with Italian giants Inter Milan and Napoli watching Konsa, along with RB Leipzig.

Villa, for their part, do not plan on losing Konsa, but whilst PSR concerns are a constant threat, other clubs believe they can lure some names away from Villa Park.

Our chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, confirmed: “Ezri Konsa’s name is coming up quite a lot when you talk to clubs about potential defensive options.

He said: “Clearly, Villa do not want to sell but he has just over two years left on his deal, he is now one of England’s top defenders, and Villa are likely going to have to tie him down to a new deal.

“Konsa is a nailed-on Premier League performer who is now showing it at international level. It is not a shock to me that some very big clubs are keeping an eye on him.”
