**Newcastle United may still be feeling a bit bruised after seeing star man Alexander Isak force a move away from the club in the summer.**
Heading into the off-season, we were bullishly confident that Isak would stay at the club, but it seems the Swede had other ideas and deployed a box full of dirty tricks to engineer a move away.
It was certainly a wake-up call, and as much as we've been extremely confident that Sandro Tonali has no designs on returning to Italy just yet, beyond that fantasy that exists in the minds of Italian journalists, we'd be fools to think that there's zero possibility.
However, the Daily Mail's Craig Hope has moved to ease our fears somewhat in his latest YouTube video.
Sandro Tonali is reportedly loving life at Newcastle after his £55m move from AC Milan
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope speaks about how Tonali has improved under Eddie Howe and that the Italian has shown no signs of wanting to leave the Premier League, while also emphasising that the Italian clubs simply couldn't afford to make the deal work.
> “From all the discussions I’ve had, Sandro Tonali appreciates that the player he is now. He is not the player who arrived here two and a half years ago.“He has improved for being exposed to the Premier League, for playing at that level, for being exposed to Newcastle’s coaches.“He’s an infinitely better player. That is why he would not even entertain the idea of going back to Juventus, Inter Milan, Roma, whoever it may be.
>
> “He wants to stay in the Premier League. There’s no suggestion as of yet that that has to be somewhere other than Newcastle.”
Eddie Howe needs to build his team around Sandro Tonali
-------------------------------------------------------
It's a slight concern that Hope says he wants to stay in the Premier League rather than wants to stay at Newcastle, but thankfully, he does suggest that it is the case.
Tonali has become such a massively important player for the Toon since he returned from his 10-month ban. He brings an air of class to the way Newcastle play, and his energy is unmatched.
There's a strong feeling that Eddie Howe will build a team around the Italian, and we hope that's the case and that he's here for years to come.
