Man City are one of several teams who are monitoring the progress of Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani, according to reports.
TBRFootball claim that the Kosovan international is regarded as one of the most promising young forwards in Europe.
Asllani spent last season on loan at German second-tier outfit Elversberg and he made a big impression, scoring 19 goals and contributing 10 assists in 37 appearances.

The 23-year-old returned to his parent club last summer and he has managed to continue scoring despite now playing in the Bundesliga.
For Hoffenheim, this campaign, Asllani has found the back of the net 5 times in 8 games.
Man City will have competition from other Premier League clubs
Pep Guardiola’s side are by no means the only English team who are keeping close tabs on Asllani’s development.
TBRFootball claim that Chelsea, Aston Villa and Tottenham are also big fans of the Kosovan, although it isn’t known which of these sides are willing to make a formal bid for the player at this stage.
City are not short of options up front, with Omar Marmoush and youngster Divine Mukasa among those who can provide backup for goal machine Erling Haaland.
Barcelona could be the biggest threat in the race for Asllani
Robert Lewandowski looks set to leave the Camp Nou on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season, and Barca are reportedly on the lookout for a young forward to replace him.
Asllani is believed to be one of the targets under consideration, although it is not known what position he holds on their shortlist.
If he does continue to score goals on a regular basis for Hoffenheim over the course of this campaign, he won’t be short of suitors in the New Year.
