Packers’ Brandon McManus handles online trolling with perfect response

The Green Bay Packers have missed the services of kicker Brandon McManus over their last two games, though they were able to take care of business over that stretch, beating the Cincinnati Bengals and the Arizona Cardinals for a clean 2-0 record since emerging from a bye in Week 5.

McManus, who sat out both games because of a quadriceps issue, is deemed questionable for this coming Sunday’s matchup on the road against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

On Friday, someone posted photo on X, formerly Twitter, of a fan in a bar wearing a McManus Packers jersey, captioning it with a cold statement: “What would compel someone to buy a McManus jersey?”

McManus apparently saw that tweet and handled it in a classy way that would benefit — and should surprise — the fan donning his Green Bay threads.

“Tell him to send it to Lambeau and I will sign it and send back to him along with 2 tickets to any game he wants,” wrote McManus while also providing the Lambeau Field street address.

It remains to be seen whether McManus will be able to get the green light to play against the Steelers, but even if he doesn’t, he’s surely grabbed attention — in a positive way — with his generous gesture.
