The Green Bay Packers have yet to see action in the 2025 NFL season with wide receiver Christian Watson active.
Since suffering a devastating knee injury in Green Bay’s regular-season finale in the 2024 NFL campaign, Watson has missed seven games. It has been a long journey for the former North Dakota State Bison star wideout, but he’s close to a return after the Packers opened his 21-day practice window earlier this October.
It is possible that Watson, who turned 26 years old in May, could play his first game back from the injury this Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road.
Watson added to the excitement for his looming 2025 debut when he posted a video on social media, which started with a clip of his injury against the Chicago Bears and was followed by a montage of his highlights with Green Bay.

The video captured the attention of several fans and social media users, including none other than Green Bay star quarterback Jordan Love, who can’t wait to have one of his top downfield weapons back on the field again.
“Yesssir,” Love commented on Watson’s post.
But Love wasn’t his only Green Bay teammate who reacted to it.
“C9 !!! 🔥,” said Jayden Reed, who is another Packers wide receiver on the shelf after going through surgeries.

In the 2024 NFL season, Watson recorded a career-high 620 receiving yards to go with two touchdowns and 21 first downs on 29 receptions and 53 targets through a total of 15 games played.
