Chelsea will be eyeing a third-straight Premier League win when they host Sunderland at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.
Ahead of the game, manager Enzo Maresca is expected to make multiple changes from the 5-1 rout of Ajax in the Champions League.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Line-up:
Robert Sanchez is poised to return in goal. Filip Jorgensen started in midweek, but should be replaced by the Spaniard between the sticks.
In front of him, we anticipate Reece James and Marc Cucurella to return in the right and left-back positions respectively. Trevoh Chalobah could be reinstated alongside Tosin Adarabioyo in the heart of the Blues' defence.
Moises Caicedo started at right-back on Wednesday, but he should return in the defensive midfield department alongside Enzo Fernandez. This would obviously mean Romeo Lavia dropping to the substitutes' bench.
Pedro Neto and Alejandro Garnacho could slot on the right and left wing as part of the rotation. Joao Pedro could start as the no.10.
Marc Guiu appears likely to lead the line after opening the scoring in his maiden Champions League start against Ajax in midweek.
Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Sunderland: Sanchez; James, Tosin, Chalobah, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Neto, Pedro, Garnacho; Guiu.
