Everton have made an €8m (£7m) offer for Nice defender Kojo Peprah Oppong, according to AfricaFoot.
The Toffees are claimed to be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements ahead of the market reopening in January and have reportedly identified the 21-year-old centre-back as a potential signing.
Everton are reported to have had representatives in France last weekend to discuss the possibility of signing the Ghana international, who only joined Nice in July from Swedish side Norrkoping on a four-year contract.
The Ligue 1 side are said to be open to Peprah Oppong’s departure only after the season, as the club consider him a key player in manager Franck Haise’s defensive setup.
Everton have reportedly offered a five-year deal and an annual salary of €2.5m (£2.18m) to the defender.

Kojo Peprah Oppong
Peprah Oppong has quickly established himself as a regular starter for Nice this term, with 12 appearances across all competitions to his name already.
The 21-year-old defender has started seven of Nice’s eight Ligue 1 games, scoring in the 3-1 defeat to Le Havre, and has also registered two starts in the Europa League, where the French side have lost all three of their opening games.
Standing at 6ft 1in, Peprah Oppong is rated for his ability to win aerial duels and his sense of anticipation, as well as his 'remarkable' abilities on the ball.
The central defender started his career with Ghanaian side Attram De Visser before moving to Sweden in 2023, where he spent two seasons at Norrkoping.
He joined Nice in July on a four-year deal and was rewarded with his first call-up to the Ghana squad for the October international break.
The 21-year-old made his national team debut in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Comoros earlier this month, coming off the bench in the second half.
Everton have endured a disappointing run of results lately, winning just once in their last six games in all competitions, beating Crystal Palace 2-1 at home.
David Moyes’ side have started the season without star defender Jarrad Branthwaite, who sustained an injury in pre-season and is expected to undergo a hamstring operation.
With Branthwaite set for an extended spell on the sidelines, Moyes' options at centre-back remain thin, with James Tarkowski and Michael Keane the only two natural choices
