Premier League title hopefuls Manchester City travel to face Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
Pep Guardiola’s side currently sit second in the top flight standings, although they are three points behind leaders Arsenal after just eight games.
The Citizens won six Premier League titles between 2018 and 2024, but missed out last term after a disastrous spell of mid-season form.
Guardiola’s side have looked back to their best at times recently, though, and cruised to a 2-0 win over Everton in their last outing.
Ahead of Sunday’s match at Villa Park, it has emerged that City are keeping tabs on an England international.
As per TBR Football, Manchester City have been monitoring Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa.
The centre-back joined Villa from Brentford in 2019 and has since made 248 appearances for the club across all competitions.

As well as establishing himself as a key player for the Villans, Konsa has also forced his way into the England setup and has now represented the Three Lions 16 times at senior level.
Konsa’s impressive performances have attracted interest from City, while Tottenham Hotspur are also understood to be keeping tabs on the 28-year-old.
Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United are also all said to have watched the Englishman over the past 12 months, while German side RB Leipzig and Italian outfits Napoli and Inter Milan are also all credited with an interest.
The versatile defender – who can play as a full-back or as a central defender – is under contract in Birmingham until the end of the 2027/28 season.
It is claimed that, while Villa have no intention of selling one of their most important players, the club’s PSR situation could come in to play next year and they may be forced to at least consider a sale.
