Forest face Bournemouth on Sunday
Dyche to take charge of first Premier League Forest fixture
Forest Preview has all the pre-match info you’ll need
Nottingham Forest are back on the road in the Premier League on Sunday when Sean Dyche’s team travel to the south coast to take on AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
Forest picked up three Europa League points in Dyche’s first game at the helm in midweek when goals in either half from Morgan Gibbs-White and Igor Jesus, his first on Trentside, secured a historic win at the City Ground.
The win was Forest’s first in the Europa League and their first win anywhere since August, on a memorable night by the Trent.
Sunday’s fixture against the Cherries will be Dyche’s first match in charge of the Reds in the Premier League and his first away fixture in the Forest dugout.
The Cherries, meanwhile, go into the fixture sitting in the top four of the division, having suffered just one defeat in the league this season.
In total, the sides have faced off 24 times in all competitions since their first meeting in 1949, with Forest claiming the win on six occasions. Eight matches have ended all square, with the Cherries claiming victory in the remaining 10 matches.

Bournemouth are unbeaten in seven Premier League outings since going down 4-2 against the champions, Liverpool, on the opening weekend of the campaign.
The Cherries were within minutes of recording back-to-back wins last weekend against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, only for Jean-Philippe Mateta to complete his hat-trick in the final minutes of the contest to ensure the spoils were shared.
Andoni Iraola’s side sit joint-third in the early league table after four wins from their opening eight league fixtures and picking up a point in the remaining three.
Bournemouth fought back from a goal down to win 3-1 in their previous home fixture against Fulham, where goals from Antoine Semenyo, either side of Justin Kluivert’s stunning effort, secured the three points for the Cherries.

A foot in both camps

Sam Surridge played a key role in Nottingham Forest’s promotion to the Premier League in 2021/22 when he joined the Reds from Stoke City on deadline day in January 2022.
The forward netted seven times and provided one assist in 17 games on Trentside, including three against Swansea City in our final home game of that famous season and a crucial winner against Peterborough United the weekend before.
His only Premier League goal for the Reds came against one of his former clubs, Bournemouth, when the Nashville striker netted a second-half equaliser at the Vitality Stadium.
Surridge progressed through the youth ranks with Bournemouth, making his first-team debut for the Cherries in 2019 following loan spells with Yeovil Town and Oldham Athletic.
He scored seven times in 42 appearances for Bournemouth in total before departing the club in 2021.
Surridge currently plies his trade in MLS, where he has 50 goals in 84 appearances for Nashville SC.

Sam Barrott - Southampton v Forest
Sam Barrott will oversee Nottingham Forest’s Premier League trip to Bournemouth on Sunday.
The official has yet to take charge of a fixture involving either the Reds or the Cherries this season but did officiate Forest’s 2-1 win over West Ham United at the London Stadium in May.
His last match involving the Cherries was their goalless draw with Crystal Palace in April.
In all, this season Barrott has awarded 22 yellow cards and one red card from four Premier League matches. Additionally, he has pointed to the penalty spot twice.
Assisting Barrott on the south coast will be James Mainwaring and Wade Smith. Tom Neild is the fourth official, while Matt Donohue is on VAR duty and Sian Massey-Ellis is the assistant VAR.
Live commentary from BBC Radio Nottingham is available on Forest TV for this fixture. Forest TV packages are available in both monthly (£5.99) and yearly (£44.99) options, granting access to exclusive and on-demand content and commentary on the men’s first-team matches.
