Marcus Rashford has made clear that he is all set for El Clasico on Sunday.
Barcelona face Real Madrid for the first time this season, with just two points separating them in the La Liga table. Madrid sit top and will host the game at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Xabi Alonso's side bounced back from their 5-2 defeat against Atletico Madrid late last month by winning their next four matches across all competitions, conceding just once and scoring ten times themselves. Barcelona, meanwhile, lost 4-1 to Sevilla in their last game before the international break, a result which saw them drop to second.
However, they have responded since returning to action, beating Girona with a 93rd-minute winner last weekend and then hammering Olympiacos 6-1 in the Champions League. Rashford scored the fourth and sixth goals in that match, his first since what proved to be a consolation versus Sevilla.
He posted afterwards, "Amazing night at home. What a TEAM!!" Bruno Fernandes commented with a star-struck emoji, as did Andre Onana, preceded by the message: "Rashyyyyyy".
Then, on Friday, he shared photos from training with the caption "All set for Sunday." Several United players liked his latest post, including Ayden Heaven, Diogo Dalot, Ethan Wheatley, JJ Gabriel, Joe Hugill, Joshua Zirkzee, Kai Rooney, Leny Yoro and Lisandro Martinez.
Rashford has also told the club's in-house media during this week: "It's not a long career, and the first thing you're going to miss when you retire is this type of match," and in response to a question about his future said: "I hope to be here for a long time."
Asked about Rashford, Barca boss Hansi Flick said: "He's very quick, he combines with his team-mates well and with confidence, and he's only going to go from strength to strength as he understands them better. He is already delivering 100 per cent of what I expect from him."
