‘A tight game’: Chris Sutton Predicts Outcome of Everton V Spurs

Pundit Chris Sutton has predicted the outcome of Sunday’s game as Everton welcome Spurs.

Writing in his weekly BBC Sport column, Sutton insists it’ll be ‘a tight game’, stating both sides lack clinical finishing.

Indeed, Everton appear toothless upfront, while Spurs will be without Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski.

Predicting a 1-1 draw, Sutton states: “Tottenham have become a more versatile side under Thomas Frank, able to set up to suit the opposition, but I don’t feel as if they are ever clinical enough in the final third.

“It is a similar story with Everton. I always feel they have a goal in them, just not from the centre-forward, whether it is Beto or Thierno Barry leading their attack.

“It must be frustrating for Toffees manager David Moyes but being realistic who can they attract, or afford, who would make a difference up front?

All of that makes me think this is going to be a tight game, and I don’t think there will be a winner.”

EVERTON & SPURS TO SHARE POINTS ON SUNDAY?

Everton have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the fixture, though Branthwaite and Patterson remain unavailable.

Grealish will likely return to the starting XI after his absence for last week’s 2-0 defeat to his parent club.

It will presumably be Alcaraz who drops to the bench, but you would assume the remainder of the team will be the same.

It’ll be a tough test for Moyes’ side, who go into the game just three points behind the London club.

Sunday’s visitors did travel to Monaco on Wednesday for a Champions League tie, battling out a 0-0 draw.

Perhaps Everton can take advantage of any fatigue Thomas Frank’s side may be feeling.

Meanwhile, the Blues have been linked with a January approach for Spurs forward Richarlison.

He would certainly offer us a more clinical edge upfront.
