El Clásico is undoubtedly the biggest fixture in the Spanish sporting calendar, with Marcus Rashford set to experience it for the first time on Sunday.
There is a list of players who played for Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid – but not all of them managed to score in El Clásico.
David Beckham played in El Clásico seven times, but failed to score a goal on top of two assists. Another player who failed to hit the back of the net was Mark Hughes, although the former Wales international only played in the fixture once during a miserable spell in Spain.

Marcus Rashford will be looking to join a nine-man list of former United players who scored in El Clásico when Barcelona travel to Madrid. Without further ado, here are nine Reds who scored in Spain’s biggest fixture.

Cristiano Ronaldo
No player has a better record than Cristiano Ronaldo on this list. He scored 18 goals against Liverpool and is the only player to score in six consecutive El Clásico games.
Ruud van Nistelrooy
During Ruud van Nistelrooy’s time at Real Madrid, he only suffered one defeat against Barcelona in four meetings. He also managed to score four goals.
Jude Bellingham is the first Real Madrid player to score in his first two LaLiga games against Barcelona since Ruud van Nistelrooy in 2007 and he scored a stoppage time winner in both.

Michael Owen
Michael Owen played in two Clásicos for Real Madrid during his single season in Spain. He got mixed results, including one win and one defeat. The former United striker scored in Madrid’s 4-2 win over Barcelona back in April 2005.

Former United defender Raphael Varane had an impressive record against Barcelona after playing in 13 Clásicos during his time at Real Madrid. He scored two goals against Barcelona, and both were memorable goals in the 2012/13 Copa del Rey semi-finals.

World Cup winner Gerard Piqué scored two goals in Clásicos and holds the record for most appearances in the fixture, after playing in 42 meetings against Real Madrid.
Casemiro
Casemiro was a rock in Real Madrid’s midfield for many years, boasting a solid record against Barcelona. He made a total of 19 appearances in El Clásicos – winning nine, drawing four and losing six. The Brazilian scored one goal in a 3-2 defeat at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Angel Di Maria
Although Angel Di Maria scored twice against Barcelona in Clásicos, he lost more games than he won in the fixture. One of his goals came in the 2014 Copa del Rey final.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the winning goal in his very first Clásico appearance in 2009, coming off the bench to score a 1-0 win at Camp Nou.
Alexis Sanchez
Having played in 13 Clásicos, Alexis Sanchez scored three goals, including one in a 3-1 win at the Santiago Bernabeu.
