EDS slip to defeat away at Blackburn](https://www.mancity.com/news/eds-academy/blackburn-v-city-eds-pl2-match-report-63896980)
We were beaten 2-0 by Blackburn Rovers on Saturday morning in the Premier League 2.
It came just a few days on from a 2-1 loss to Villarreal in the UEFA Youth League and boss Wilkinson says the two performances were very similar.
“It’s very disappointing from our point of view,” he said in his post-match interview.
“I feel like I’ve watched the same game twice this week in terms of us not having enough intensity in the first half and conceding disappointing goals that put us so far behind in the game and it’s difficult to come back from that position.
“Very frustrated, disappointed and we have a lot of work to do.
“It’s about mentality, concentration, focus, intensity.
“In both games we started reasonably well and then conceded really poor goals to go 1-0 down.
“For the second one today, we gave the ball away in buildup doing something we’ve spoken about not doing.
“The higher you go in football, the harder it gets to recover those situations. There are lots of things for us to get better on.”
