****Brenden Aaronson****addressed turning around his fortunes for Leeds United against West Ham.
The attacker missed a big chance against **Burnley**in a 2-0 loss last weekend, visibly demonstrating his frustration after his substitution. However, he was alive to a rebound to open the scoring against the Irons in a critical 2-1 victory, and he was grateful for the support of the group in the last few days.
“It was a relief for me to be honest with you. Letting the team down a little bit last week, not scoring, it was it was tough mentally because you don't get many chances in this league. So, it was difficult for a moment of time, but I kept at it. that I worked this whole weekend in my finishing again.
“I'm happy with the goal, the group and the atmosphere. It was amazing to score early. A couple times last year we had early goals and it was huge for us. Great atmosphere: I'm proud of the team.
“I'm proud of my mentality and I'm proud of the group.
“The last couple games we've kind of we've given away late goals and we haven't been on our best at late stages of the game. So it was huge for us to keep the mentality and I think that was the message all week was managing the late minutes in the game, stay on top of it and then get the result.
“We needed to hold the 2-1 win. I think defensively we were good today. We handled a lot of crossing situations from them. West Ham is a team that has a ton of quality, so it was a difficult game, but I'm just proud of the group.
“We have this next man up mentality where I think everybody's ready to play and everybody's wanting their chance. When I wasn't playing in the beginning of the season, coming off the bench a lot, the intensity of the trainings after the game was top. The attitude of the guys was amazing.”
